Cloud Functions for Firebase
Cloud Functions for Firebase is a serverless framework that lets you automatically run backend code in response to events triggered by Firebase features. Your JavaScript code is stored in Google’s cloud and runs in a managed environment. There’s no need to manage and scale your own servers.
Firebase Cloud Messaging
With cloud messaging, an app can easily send messages to users and communicate with them in real-time. Send in-app and push notifications to individual users, clients, user groups, users with different roles or to all users. When the app is in the foreground your messages will be displayed in a Toast notification in the top of the screen. When the app is in the background or your mobile device is in standby, the notification is delivered to the device’s system tray and your mobile device plays a notification sound.
