Description
Cube Saber
Cube Saber is a WebXR (VR) game template with a basic game mechanic. Beat the incoming dices while they get faster. Use it at a starting point for game projects like Beat Saber or Fruit Ninja or sports games like baseball or even to get started with WebXR.
Package content
- An index.html file
- A cubesaber.js file with all the game logic
- All neccesary three.js (WebGL) files
- All ressource files (3D objects, texture- and emissionmaps, sound-files)
- A documentation (Quickstart guide.html)
Requirements
- A 6dof Virtual Reality device like Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, etc.
- A running webserver (Apache, Xampp, etc.), if you want to run it locally on your pc
- A secure website (https), if you want to upload it to the web
- A browser with WebXR support like Chrome or Edge. Other browsers like Mozilla may work with an appropriate plug-in
Installation
Upload the folder structure including all files (not neccesarily the documentation folder) either to your local webserver or to your website.
Tech stack
HTML, javascript and Three.js for the 3D and VR implementation. The code is well documented and the accompanying documentation includes some examples how to change game parameters, colors, textures, etc. For deeper changes or modifications you should familiarize with javascript and three.js.
